BhooKamp - A Lifestyle App for Earthquake Monitoring
BhooKamp is a free Android application developed by the National Center for Seismology (NCS) for monitoring earthquake activity in India. As the nodal agency of the Government of India, NCS maintains a National Seismological Network of 115 stations equipped with state-of-the-art equipment across the country. BhooKamp provides users with real-time earthquake information and alerts, making it a valuable tool for those living in earthquake-prone areas.
The app also monitors earthquake swarms and aftershocks by deploying temporary observatories close to the affected regions. Apart from earthquake monitoring, BhooKamp also provides information on Seismic Hazard Microzonation and seismological research conducted by NCS.
